Hannah and Alyssa Davis traveled to Accra, Ghana in November 2009 to meet with nine women
who handmake the jewelry for Pokuasi. The women live in Pokuase, which is an underdeveloped
village outside of Accra. All of the materials, primarily brass, glass, and man-made beads, are
locally produced by using traditional African artisan methods.
